From 1st June, 2010 almost all schools have closed and students are making planning for spending holidays.
I can give you advice where you should go.
I think most popular destination for students and tourists for spending their holidays is Forest Research Institute Dehradun. I had visited same place. It was established in 1906 and is one of the oldest institutions who is providing the education of plantation and protecting our environment. It has six museum. I had personally visited all these museum. I spent there my one day. I paid Rs. 50 to Guide who guided me to show and tell the history of different things which were existed in it. But, I was limited time. You can spend your one month in these museums and you can find large number of thing, from where you can get many knowledge. I saw the cut piece of oldest tree of world in this museum.
six sections in the museum:
1.Pathology Museum
2.Social Forestry Museum
3.Silviculture Museum
4.Timber Museum
5.Non-Wood Forest Products Museum
6.Entomology Museum
On the wikipedia page, you can see many pictures of inside of these museums. I have uploaded following image and video of Forest Research Institute from which I have made from Google Earth. You can also see the location on Google earth by writing forest research institute dehradun.
You also forget the feeling of heat of June after reaching there because this institute is located under the large numbers of trees. I hope, you will also celebrate world environment day 5th June 2010 at there.
