Budgets are not just estimation revenue and expenses but it is also good way to compare the decisions on the basis of difference between current budget and past budgets. Recently, we are listening the news that rail fares have been increased in Railway budget 2012 and other information have been given by news media. Now, today, as a common man of India, I am trying to review railway budget 2012 .
1. I could not understand the planning of different railway ministers. In 2009 railway, railway minister explained that we will provide free doctor facility in trains but still all these planning is in files. There is not any implementations of this. Now, 2012, there is not any provision for free doctor facility in railway budget. What does it mean? It means, it is the wastage of time who study and expects from railway ministers.
2. I could not understand the loan policy of Govt. of India. When both finance ministry and railway ministry are the brother of Govt. of India, then why one brother is giving loan to other brother at 8.55% interest.
3. There is big list of Wikipedia about the accidents of railway of India. I think, there is not any proposal of big investment on the security of the passengers of India. All other countries are better than India from railway security point.
4. There is big issue of increasing the fares in the railway budget. Did any necessity of increasing railway fares. Railway is the transport of poor and middle Indians. Its fare charges should be stable. There may be other new resources of increasing the earning of railway. But increasing the fare is not a good decision.
