10 Tips for Researcher

Research means to search the knowledge. It is useful for teachers and students. Teachers needs to research because he has to teach on basis of logic. Student has to research because they have to increase his knowledge and be preparing for test. So, after writing 10 tips for classroom teachers, I think this content is very useful for both teachers and students.

Following are the 10 tips for researcher

1st Tip : Sample is Better for Fast Research

To search all data is not necessary. Take a sample. Suppose, you have to search 1,00,000 raw data. If you are good researcher take the sample of 100 data through random sampling and analyze these data. For example, you have to check the level of hemoglobin in blood, you need just few drops of blood not one bottle.

2nd Tip : Sample Must be Representative

The final result of a study will be more accurate if the sample drawn is representative to the population. For example, you have to take sample of online popular teacher. You should use Alaxa rank of educational websites and YouTube views of educational channels. Both will be helpful for researcher for getting the sample of popular online teacher. For instance,  Salman Khan is Popular Online Teacher because he taught 222,182,570 students through his YouTube channel. He has also 520,226 students online. Both data, you can see on his channel at here.

3rd Tip :  Deal When Uniformity or Difference in Data

A researcher can select only 10 members as a sample from the total population of 5000. It is good if population is homogeneous. It means, there is uniformity in the population. If there is big difference in the nature of each members of population, then researcher should take larger members as a sample instead of only 10 for good results.

4th Tip : Know the Types of Research

Researcher should remember that there are three type of research one is laboratory research, second is experimental and third is real life research. For real life research, researcher should come out of his laboratory. For example, our chief Adviser  Dr. Mathura Dass has got PHD in the research of child crime. In three years, he went to the jails of Haryana state for knowing the reasons behind the child crime. In conclusion of his thesis, he told that poverty is the main reason of children crime. So, researcher should have to become practical. So, field study is must for real life situations.

5th Tip : Start Your Own Research with Experiments

The process of reference collection is not needed in experimental researches. In the scientific area, we see that scientist do large number of experiments without taking any reference. You can also start research from experiments.

6th Tip :  Teacher Should Research Instead of Avoiding Problems

A teacher encounters various problems during his professional experience; he should do research on that problem and find a solution. I think, without becoming perfect researcher, a teacher can not become a perfect teacher because if he will not do research, then either he will avoid the problematic situations or resign from post. But both are not correct solution.

7th Tip :   Scan the Problem

Research is time consuming process. So, before researching of solution of any problem, you should check, a) it is researchable, b) it is new and adds something to knowledge, c) it has utility and relevance.

8th Tip : Know What is Hypothesis

Formulation of hypothesis is the necessary part of research but it is not necessary in fact finding of historical studies. For this, you need more reference collection. If you are doing experiment, then sit on your chair. Close your eyes and create the future after your research. This creation will be your hypothesis. For example, from millions of years, we see that birds are flying. But great scientist who had invented airplane, formulate the hypothesis and they are dreaming that human will be flying. But how? So, invention of airplane is the fruit of research in this field.

9th Tip : Positive Way of Your Hypothesis

A good hypothesis should be precise, specific and consistent with most known facts. It should be formulated in such a way that it can be tested by the data.

10th Tip : Be Honest

In order to increase the accuracy of study, a researcher should increase the size of sample, be honest and unbiased and keep variance high. Honest and unbiased study will give the accurate results.

In end, my best wishes with you all scholars. Welfare of humanity in your hand. I hope, you will succeed in your research.
