When goods is received a receipt is also received by buyer. This receipt is called Transport bilty or goods receipt. This bilty is important document both transporter and receiver of goods.

In transport bilty, there are lots of useful information which will be helpful for receiver to know whether goods are in same quantity or not. Here we are discussing its important terms.
1. Demurrage Charges
If a person who is authorize for getting the delivery from transport, don't take the delivery. He will be responsible for paying demurrage charges. These charges will be mentioned in transport bilty. Transporter may allow to keep the goods in his store for week to 15 days without any charges. After this, these charges will be applicable. These charges are also called delay charges in simple words. But if there is delay due to transporter's default, at that time, demurrage charges will not be applicable. Demurrage charges are the part of direct cost.
2. Consignor
Consignor is person who send the goods through transport.
3. Consignee
Consignee is a person who gets the delivery.
4. G.R. No.
G.R. No. means goods receipt no.
5. Freight Charges
Freight charges are shown in transport bilty on the basis of quantity of material. Today, almost all transport companies are charging Rs. 250 per 50 kgs. goods transport.
6. Hamali Charges
Hamali Charges are the labour charges which is used by transport company for loading and unloading the goods from truck.
7. Service Tax
Customer gets service of transport. So, transport agency or company gets freight plus service tax from customer. Same service tax is deposited in Govt. Bank account.
