IMPS is great service which have been started by some banks. It means immediate payment service. Today is satureday and this is also not working day of bank in India. But, today, I had to pay to the party. I searched SBI for this fund transfer service. But, I have failed to check it.
Then, I went to my HDFC online bank account where I found this service. So, after making beneficiary, I paid through using IMPS option in fund transfer. Thanks God, I paid the money with this real time inter-bank electronic fund transfer. So, this facility is great when you can not use NEFT or other fund transfer way due to Sunday or not working Saturday or holidays.
After 5 to 10 second using this service, my beneficiary accounts are credited. One payment, I did for my beneficiary of SBI account whose I had to pay Rs. 4000 and today was last day. Second payment, I had to pay my beneficiary of ICICI bank whose I had to pay Rs. 2275. So, I am happy, I paid both through this great service at the holiday time and both account holders are happy from me.
This service is not free. It is costly than other inter-banking transfer service.
As per updated rules following charges will be deducted from your bank balance if you will pay through IMPS
