All these facilities are also available in Google Docs but if we compare Google Docs and Ms. Excel we find following differences :-
1st Difference
Ms. Excel is very useful tool of making data base in off line , you can make millions of list of your creditors and debtors and payrolls but , if you are working all time online then Google Docs are very useful tool for recording all above data and it will automatically saved in your google account , so you need not save after some time . In case cut off light , you will again recover your all recorded but not saved data in Google Docs but it is not possible in Ms. Excel
2nd Difference
Google Docs provide the facility of collaboration . It means when you feed any data in google docs , it will read other your senior C.A. in real time . Suppose , you are making payroll lists on Google Docs , your boss can also see and check your work in real time or same time what are you doing . There is no need to check through same office , your boss may check your performance from any other city , state or even other country . Even this collaboration of Google docs facilities are using for taking interview in several countries .

But if you feed data in ms. excel and want to share with other , you need to send it vie e-mail , which is very time consuming and boring but collaboration of Google docs is so simple and after second to second , you can see other person's activity on Google Docs excel sheet . I can say it is just like chat room of excel .
3rd Difference
Google Docs are very useful for showing online Data base . I am publishing all my online visitors profiles free of cost just help with Google Docs . This facility is also used by large scale companies for publishing their accounting data online and it is also part of the duty of accountants
But , the facility is not possible in Ms. Excel.
4th Difference
Google Docs can also be utilized for making flash presentation , I have making many educational and accounting presentation with google docs that are very attractive and helpful for online teaching . But Ms. excel has no such facility .
5th Difference
Privacy point of view Ms. excel is more safe than Google docs because , if you are working any share computer then if you are log in with remember me , then other person can see your all confidential reports and opens your secrete data but , if you are making ms excel and protect it with your password , it will not open without your permission . But , if you did not log in with remember me , then same facility of privacy can also get from Google docs .
